How it works
- Open a script and tap Tighten.
- Choose a length and a tone.
- Compare the before and after word counts and read times.
- Tap Use this script, or Try again for another version. Undo brings the original back.
Long scripts (over about 900 words) are tightened section by section, so the model never loses the thread.

Tighten questions
How do I shorten a script to 60 seconds?
In DuoPrompt, open the script, tap Tighten, choose 1 minute and a tone. DuoPrompt converts one minute into a word count using your own measured speaking pace, rewrites the script to fit, and shows the before and after word count and read time.
Does Tighten send my script to a server?
No. Tighten uses Apple's on-device model through the Foundation Models framework. The script never leaves your iPhone, it works offline, and there's no per-use cost.
Which iPhones can use Tighten?
It needs Apple Intelligence: iPhone 15 Pro or later, with Apple Intelligence turned on in Settings. On other iPhones the Tighten sheet explains why it isn't available.
Will it keep my sections and cues?
Yes. Section lines (## Hook) and graphic cues ([show: Promo code]) are kept. If the rewrite drops one, DuoPrompt warns you before you use it.
Can I undo a rewrite?
Yes. Tap Undo in the script editor to put the original back, or tap Try again for a different version before you accept it.
Is Tighten free?
Yes, Tighten is available on the free version of DuoPrompt.
