A teleprompter for YouTube videos

DuoPrompt helps YouTubers record talking-head videos and Shorts without memorizing or reading off to the side. The script follows your voice right next to the lens, sections let you redo just the intro, and Duo Camera films you and what you're showing in one take.

Videos you can record with DuoPrompt

  • Intros and talking-head segments for long-form videos
  • Shorts with a tight 30- or 60-second script
  • Reviews and unboxings with Duo Camera: the product and your face in one take (Pro)
  • Sponsor reads with a promo-code card that pops up on cue (Pro)

Tips

  • Script the hook word for word; bullet-point the middle and ad-lib.
  • Split the script into sections so a flubbed line means redoing one part, not the whole video.
  • Use Tighten to cut a long-form intro down to a Short.

Why DuoPrompt

  • It follows your voice. No remote and no scroll speed to tune. How voice-follow works.
  • The script sits next to the camera. On iPhone Duo, half-fold the phone on a desk and the words sit just to the right of the lens. iPhone Duo teleprompter guide.
  • It films you and what you're showing. Duo Camera records the front and back cameras in one take, so a demo or walkthrough needs no editing (Pro). Duo Camera.

Questions from youtube creators

Do YouTubers use teleprompters?

Many do, especially for intros, sponsor reads and scripted explainers. The trick is keeping the text near the lens and letting the prompter follow your pace, so it doesn't look like reading.

Can I record a YouTube Short with a teleprompter on my phone?

Yes. Hold the phone upright for a 9:16 frame, paste a short script, and DuoPrompt scrolls it as you speak. Takes save straight to Photos for upload.
